I suspect that corporate media has devolved into a last-few-horses-race: a competition for alternative versions of history. On their best day, trying to nail down the sentiment of their most sought after demographic, while still pandering to their base.

Stop to think about how it is financed

This is effectively Wall Street bankers, hedging cancel culture and, more devious, if not amusing to their contemporaries; they are profiting from it.

We could grind to a halt, all of cable news, in a single financial quarter.

Boycott en masse the few dozen, big dollar corporations that advertise on those platforms.

Game Over.

Whenever an organization with significant reserves, is presented the opportunity to step back and be existentialist about their brand, they will take it, if only to provide temporary cover for their own incompetence.

I’m just saying though: if we are burning monuments, we might think about burning the big boats that protect them along the harbor.
